Re: India v England, 2nd Test, Mumbai, 23-27 November, 2012
The brave pick would be to pick Meaker for Broad. I just don't see the point of England playing bowlers who struggle to reach 80mph these days on these pitches. Just pointless. And batting-wise, Meaker at least has a couple of first class 50s. Can hold up an end.I'd go with-
Cook(c)
Compton
Trott
Pietersen
Bairstow
Patel
Prior+
Swann
Meaker
Anderson
Panesar
Wont happen though. They'll be all "Ooooh, Bressy did the business in Melbourne 2010, so he deserves another chance. Oooohh the speed guns around the World have been wrong for the last year, Bressy still has nip. Oooohhh, he's a good lad. Tells jokes, sings songs, self deprecating Yorkshireman, I want him in the trenches, ooohhhhh. Yeeeeeaaahhh!!!!!"

Whoever comes in, you just know they consistently aren't going to take any wickets.

Bresnan is sh*t horrie. End of. WAS half decent, but is now sh*t, and no amounts of "credit in the bank" (and he's surely used all that up) is going to change that. The man is spent. It happens.

Re: India v England, 2nd Test, Mumbai, 23-27 November, 2012
We may as well pick nine batsmen, Prior, and Swann.

You can pick 11 batsmen and pass on the spinner and keeper too if they all bat like in the first innings last time.

^^ Not to worry Gambhir and Sehwag average 50 as openers. Gambhir says so himself, so we should be fine.

usually 350 is a good score here. india may rue not picking another seamer, you need a balanced attack on this pitch
