Yup, I'm afraid he looks pretty clueless if he's denied the chance to club it into the leg side. Bowl well outside off stump and he's completely becalmed.

Crowd singing:
"Ohh Ravi Bopara" to the White Stripes' Seven Nation Army - how times have changed.

What a run out from Latham, if he meant it.

Stokes creams the first ball for 6. 10 from 5.

Ben Stokes, forum favourite, to do it for England.

8 from 2. Don't reckon we'll do it. Maybe a superover
Re: England v New Zealand, 1st T20I, The Oval, 25 June, 2013
Only got a Derek Pringle. 6 needed for a superover.

Ravi Bopara. Half finishes games. The halfman.

You could blame Bopara, sure, heck, why not. You could blame the atrocious bowling, or the batting of Morgan. Depends what you're looking for in your blaming.

Looks a decent last over by Anderson. 6 off ball one then singles for the rest.
Looks a very rare "cracking T20".

That 5-run margin, it's becoming a habit...
If we'd had proper bowlers we'd have won that comfortably. Anyway that's what T20 should be, not teams struggling to get the ball off the square on slow pitches, as we see too often in the county game these days.

England pepsimaxxed one less pepsimax than NZ ( 7 v 8 ), and failed to win by the margin of one pepsimax.

Still, everyone will have forgotten it in a day or two.
Forgotten what, you say?
