And looking at the S/Rs, Morgan's was the missing pepsimax (only 7 runs from 10).

Yeah, it's JAM. That's cool though, we've got 10 lengthy humdingers against a bunch of qunts to contend with soon - why not some clownish japes against a bunch of niceboys?

The only T20I (outside of perhaps the world tournament) that sticks in my memory is that one that got the ball rolling on the Aussies' 2005 tour when we bowled them out for 70-odd! Then they lost to Bangladesh in Cardiff in the triangular SODIT. Why aren't we offering them such opportunities this year?

The one positive for England seemed to be Boyd Rankin. Looked a handful.

He was OK. His pace dropped after 1.4 overs. Like the extra-steep bounce he gets, but not sure he's a sustainable commodity.

You're going to burn those qunts. It'll be a 6 month colposcopy clinic with more warts burned off than you can imagine.

You'd think so. But I have a funny feeling that the press-reading, bubble-enclosed, pumped-up jesses that are the England team will take this a little more lightly than they should do. I'm sure they believe every good story about themselves, disbelieving the bad ones - whilst believing the hyperbole surrounding the Australian side. Think they're in for a little bit of a shock.

Yeah, he went from 89 mph to 82mph in about two overs. Doesn't look much of an athlete and I'm not sure his action is very sturdy.
He did all right though, to be fair.
He's no Chris Woakes, mind you...

He bowls some really steepling lifters. I was very surprised at his improvement. His action is pretty decent, keeps nice and tall.

I see Trembers has declared himself "ready" for the Ashes. Hasn't really showed in the wickets column so far this season, but the Aussies are scared of him and what he can do.

Apparently he's been pretty lively and is apparently in good rhythm. Apparently.

He'd be more consistent than Finn. Probably, like most English quicks, he's been bowling a yard too short this season. That's what is usually happening when a guy is "in good rhythm" and "bowling well" yet not really taking a lot of wickets.

He would be more consistent than Finn - I may be wrong, but a stick of celery nailed to a cuckoo clock would be more consistent than Finn.

So Bresnan is actually bowling well?
