Re: OT: Favourite Current Television Programme?
FRING'S BACK
That's the anagram you can make from the first letter of each episode's name in series 2. The note for Mike on his car windscreen IMO adds to the likelihood that Fring will be making a return in BCS season 3.
The genius of BCS is that the scenes with Jimmy, Chuck, and Kim etc feel like an entirely new thing, whilst scenes with Mike take us right back to Breaking Bad levels of suspense and (to a lesser extent) violence. It's almost like having two shows in one.

Nope. The combination of 10 letters make a word, but not the combination in order from 1 to 10.

... an anagram OF a nonsensical acronym, then. Didn't understand that from your earlier post. Why would they bother?

Re: OT: Favourite Current Television Programme?
I've seen discharge letters from frustrated hospital doctors along the lines of:
PROBLEM LIST
1) First presentation of diabetes
2) Acidosis on presentation, settling within 24 hours
3) Tibial pain
4) Coryza
5) Ulnar fracture
6) No evidence of sleep apnoea
7) Trivial asthma
designed in the probably vain hope that someone, somewhere, would read down the first letters of each 'problem'.
'Just a coincidence, your honour'.

Can our entertainment elite finally, finally drop the Australia-is-racist shtick?
The Project’s Waleed Aly ... won a Silver Logie as best presenter and the big one, his first Gold Logie, as “‘best personality on TV"… Deborah Mailman won her fourth Logie, as outstanding actress in Redfern Now.
But no, even at the moment this latest evidence is revealed:
The former Radio National drive host was a popular winner in the room, reviving a standing ovation. “Do not adjust your sets. There’s nothing wrong with the picture,” he said.
Turned into a joke:
“This is happening. Finally a male presenter on commercial TV has won a Gold Logie.”
But then:
Aly also spoke about the racism within the TV industry and how he had been privately championed by people he knew to win…
“There have been a lot of people in the past week or two who have made it clear to me that me being here right now really matters to them,” he said.
“It matters to them for a particular reason.
“That reason was brought home ... not so long ago actually when someone who is in this room, and I’m not going to use the name they use in the industry, came up to me, introduced themselves and said to me, `I really hope you win. My name is Mustafa. But I can’t use that name because I won’t get a job’.
What was Waleed’s original name, then?
More preaching on Logies night:
In a night where calls for change were a common theme, veteran screen star Noni Hazlehurst earned a standing ovation as she became the second ever woman after Ruth Cracknell to be inducted into the Logies Hall Of Fame, which started in 1984.
The actress made a powerful acceptance speech taking aim at the snail-like pace of change within the Australian TV industry, saying it was slow to accept women and non-Anglo Saxon Logie nominees Waleed Aly and Lee Lin Chin.
Was Aly’s award just signal-sending then?
Let go, people.

Watched episode 5 last night. With one episode to go I still have no idea who the ultimate baddie is as they have now thrown in links to the first 3 series.

Season 3 of Better Call Saul is moving slowly.
- Spoiler:
- 3 eps into S3, Chuck wants to prosecute Jimmy over the address change scam with the Mesa Verde contract. But Jimmy and Kim decide to fight Chuck's move to have him disbarred.
Trev was right about Gus Fring. He is back as of ep 3.
Fring has been casing Mike's movements in trying to protect Hector Salamanca from Mike's retribution. But Mike won't back off, arranging for a Hector cocaine shipment to be stopped by DEA/cops after he hung coke laden runners over a telephone line and shot them as Hector's truck went underneath, sprinkling coke over the truck. Sniffer dogs quickly picked up the scent.
Slow but building nicely. Quality television

Just started Homeland S6.
- Spoiler:
- Glad to see Quinn survived the sarin gas attack from late last season. Although he's very 2nd hand.
Carrie is covertly advising the female President-elect, something Dar Adal and Saul will be furious about, given Carrie flatly denied it when Saul questioned her. The new Prez wants to wind back/defund many CIA programs.

Have been binge watching Firefly. Well written in a hammy way. The women in the cast remind me of the real curse of ageing blokes. Our eyes do not age.
