Stars scratch their way to 138 on the 2-paced wicket from the recent JAMODI. Puke Shite carried his bat for 60*.

lol...and of course the Stars were snuffed.

The idea of Victorian teams or its players being advantaged by CA is hilarious.

So all teams have one to play, and all but the Strikers can make the semis. The Heat have pretty much locked up a home semi but the other home game is up for grabs. Stars and Scorchers good NRR should see them safe, but the final spot is anyone's.

-------------------------------------------M-W-L-NR-P-NRR
1 BRISBANE HEAT-----------------7 5 2 0 10 0.589

3 PERTH SCORCHERS----------7 4 3 0 8 0.331
4 SYDNEY SIXERS----------------7 4 3 0 8 -1.062

Sodhi gets 6 wickets for the Strikers as the Thunder get eliminated.

FWIW - my brother was the "sideline eye" for radio commentary tonight.

Enjoyed watching Hodgey. The 42 yo batted intelligently and captained with cleverness.

Also enjoyed watching Clotto get tonked.

Is Watto's the bottom lip immortalised in Dave Dobbyn's song 'A Slice of Heaven'?

hehehe....like it...wonder if Dobbin would agree to changing the lyrics to " slab " instead of a slice

the Clotto bottom lip is really a huge slab of pork in need of a long slow roast roasting.

Clotto's lip would be a great subject for a mega sculpture, perhaps in combo with a BIG FRONT PAD

Alas the tipped failed. Podge brought Laughlin on the over after Howie's tip. Would've been piss funny if the Twat was dismissed by Laughlin.

A bit weird for CA to be talking about the "integrity of the game" for a competition that Andrew Johns once played in.

The Heat regrouped nicely after an early Finch/Harris onslaught, but Fergie smoked 20 off the last from Cutting to set a 200 target.

FMD, is this the worst last over from both teams in T20 history?

Heat need 18 off the last over. Rimmington to bowl it

19.1
Rimmington to Burns, 1 wide, sprayed very wide outside off, past the tram-line, wide called. Make that 17 off 6

19.1
Rimmington to Burns, SIX, that's a monster blow from Burns. Pre-meditates, walks across off stump, takes a length ball from outside off and clouts it over midwicket

19.2
Rimmington to Burns, SIX, clears Cooper at deep midwicket. Dug in short and outside off, Burns pulls and top-edges it. Skied over the boundary for back-to-back sixes

19.3
Rimmington to Burns, OUT, very full and outside off, miscued to long-off running to his left. Smart catch from Perera. Burns swings hard, does not middle it. Ends up slicing the ball off the toe end to the man in the deep. Goes for the glory hit and holes out
JA Burns c Perera b Rimmington 35 (22b 1x4 2x6) SR: 159.09
Heat need 5 off 3

19.4
Rimmington to Buchanan, 1 wide, full-toss outside off, just wide of the tram-line, second off-side wide of the over

19.4
Rimmington to Buchanan, OUT, very full and outside off, drills a drive to Finch at wide mid-off. Buchanan sets off for the single. Finch swoops down on the ball and spears a flat throw to the bowler, who keeps his head, backs-up, and swipes the bails off to catch him short
ND Buchanan run out 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

19.5
Rimmington to Steketee, 1 wide, wild full-toss, too wide outside off, third off-side wide of the over

19.5
Rimmington to Steketee, no run, nails the wide yorker now, Steketee reaches out, and can't put bat on ball. Just inside the tram-line, this

Heat need 3 off the last ball. The season is on the line for the Renegades. Finch walks up to his bowler and chats with him.

19.6
Rimmington to Steketee, 1 wide, OUT, what a bizarre finish! Off-side wide, and Swepson is run-out at the non-striker's end. The Renegades stay alive with a one-run win. Very full and wide outside off, near yorker, but past the tram-line again. Steketee and Swepson need to scamper across for the bye. But there's a mix-up. Harriott the debutant keeper though keeps his cool and throws it to the bowler, who runs back up to the stumps and catches Swepson short. Drama, drama, drama in Brisbane, and the hosts finish at the wrong end of it
MJ Swepson run out 0 (0b 0x4 0x6) SR: -

I can top that, I once saw Worcestershire score four runs in the last two overs of a Sunday League match when they only needed five to win. The fact that it was against Warwickshire only made matters worse.

But presumably Warks actually did something good to hold them to 4 runs.

Unless they bowled 4 wides in those 2 overs!
