Re: Big Bash Borathon 2016/17
Yep. He is injury-prone. He missed the entire 2014/15 season.
I've got high hopes that one day he might become an important member of the Queensland Shield team. At the moment we have a handy attack but not one that really looks capable of running through an opposition batting line-up. Billy Stanlake might have that X-factor we need. He has good pace & can get very awkward bounce. And he did well in the two Sheffield Shield matches he played last season. But, as you say, he has only bowled a handful of overs in grade cricket this season. I think 8 is the most in one innings.

'Canes v Strikers tonight. 'Canes almost never win at home. Should be an easy win to the Strikers.
Re: Big Bash Borathon 2016/17
Christian bowls a michelle. Just another reason why he should have been considered over Cartwright.

NSP sending mixed messages - they say they are looking for an all-rounder, but don't pick one.

Strikers bowled out off the last ball for 143. Well below par score but i can't help thinking the 'Canes will find some way to lose.

It makes me smile to think that the BB has recruited such stellar T20 performers as Bell and Broad. You really couldn't make it up. Fill your bank balances boys!
Contain that smile Bas

Yeah but the way he was poking & prodding about to begin with, it sure looked like he might.

Decent game up in Chip central last night with the Sixers getting up with a couple of Balls to spare.
Nice innings from Hughes 85 (55 Balls) , and Hads 32 (13 Balls)

I don't mind watching this tanked. Heat were short a bowler before they lost the leggie. Though I suppose as long as they chase it doesn't really matter what the opposition gets.

Current table (for purposes of...err...umm...discussion). 8 games each to be played before top 4 go to semis. It's close at the bottom.

Re: Big Bash Borathon 2016/17
Someone called Liam Bowe is making his debut for the Melbourne Stars tonight.
Honestly, if your surname was "Bowe", would you give your son a name beginning with "L"?
http://www.espncricinfo.com/big-bash-league-2016-17/content/player/1076852.html
Is he a chucker?
Is it significant that his first wicket was Ben D?
Would it have been better if Beer had also been involved in the dismissal?
