Surprised to see Spieth play so badly on the front 9.

Sergio's defence when "poof" at the 15th yesterday but he didn't make a dent at all today with a +6 to miss the cut by 8 shots.

That must be one of the most unsuccessful defences of a major since Lllleyton llllost to a qually at Wimbledon in 2003 (Ivan Karlovic - who did go on to a reasonable career and is still around now but that remains his biggest scalp)

An obnoxious pile of sh*t.
Deemed "the most hated professional golfer" - he is brash, outspoken and has allegedly cheated on the golf course on a few occasions when playing for the University of Augusta (as declared in a book by his co-players at the time and never denied).
Not a nice person ... but he certainly can hit a golf ball.

McIlroy has a tendencey to blow up on the Sunday ... so I'm hoping either Fowler or Rahm might pull it off.

Reed pretty safe from here and is playing well.

He had a wobble mid-round but recovered the situation just as his rivals faltered.

Rory never got going today, this won’t be his year to get that elusive Green Jacket, but at least he was right in the mix after an unremarkable couple of years. Hard to believe he’s still only 28, he’s been around so long, some golfers seem to only really emerge at the highest level at that sort of age.

9 of the past 10 majors have had first time winners.

Ignoring the off course issues with Reed, he's the only elite US player to have taken and retained his ET card for a couple of years. Could do with more players like that.

Paul Gow was on the radio today saying that Rory is hitting it as well as he's ever seen. Only indifferent putting form will stop him winning it.

He's been top 10 in every event this year. So a good choice.

Among the rookies, Justin Harding. Was 700th in the world at the start of last year. Won on the Sunshine Tour, then the Asian Tour, and then the European Tour. Did decently in the WGC matchplay as well.

Apparently Bjerregaard's first Masters too. Missed that given he's been around for a while.

All 4 Aussies at or under par, with Adam Scott currently equal leader at -3.

Tiger's round (-2) could've been so much better had he not missed at least 4 putts inside 5 feet.

Dammit. I tried to find Harding on the bet sheet last night when I saw this but couldn't.

DeChambeau looks a handy player. And we know what Koepka can do.

Olesen quietly coming into contention. Think his last time at Augusta, he had the best weekend scores in the field.
