Didn't see a reason given for granting Marshall his freedom.
Aye, I hope Marshall gets a contract somewhere else - he's a tidy player

Yay! Rikki can concentrate on being the next Fred now. Wonder who'll replace him. Rogers took the reigns when he dropped himself so he looks like the most likely.

Sky, with their unlimited resources, have already said it's The Ginger One.

Floodlights not being used apparently, due to high winds, so the game could finish soon

Why start at 4.30 when you know that can happen?
More to the point - why do Sky bother televising it?

Yeah. Fuq you.CMJ wrote:"Kabir, with more than 50 first-class wickets, has earned the honour more, but relative novices, such as Eoin Morgan and Luke Wright (2008 Championship batting average 22, bowling average 59), are preferred to consistent performers such as David Sales and [Mark] Davies. Both are clearly seen as exceptional talents but the oft-repeated promise of the selectors that county form will be taken into account seems to be ignored as often as it is upheld."

AH ha, valid pionts one feel. I reckon the selectors can't read......
Thats got to be the case. Every man, woman and dog are saying the same things and they just keep missing it.
I think we should have a democratic poll to pick the squads, instead of those three inept farquars!!!

Flicked a bit of the cricket on - Liam Dawson looked not too bad with the bat. Not seen the Sussex innings so he'll probably turn out to be a gashlord with the ball...

He's got a horrible action. But apparently he is very talented.

Warney seemed to think he was a spin prospect - but then Warney has pretty much given every Hampshire player the hard sell at some point or other.

41 FC wickets so far this season. At around 33. Not cheap, but he's on course for a 50+ wicket season, which would be a cracking little effort for a 20 year old spinner - and about double what any other English spinner has taken this season.
Re: English county season 2008 (V)
Aye, not to shabby given his start.
Thought Carberry looked good against the pace but terrible against the spinners.

Which is weird as Carbs was a run machine on the Lions tour to India against the spinners.
Just think he's not in great touch.

Re: English county season 2008 (V)
What's that got to do with him being in the JAMODI squad though? That's about as relevant as quoting someone's Twenty20 record to argue for/against their inclusion in the Test side.JKLever wrote:Brass Monkey wrote:Luke Wright (2008 Championship batting average 22, bowling average 59)
