Re: English county season 2008 (V)
Yup, we need to win this 'un somehow. Big opportunity to bat through the day tomorrow getting a lead of 270-ish and trying to bowl them out on the last day. The problem is our batting line-up's collapsible and the attack we have for this game is awful! Ferley FFS! He's like a crap version of Ashley Giles. Where's Andre Adams too - I'd have had him in instead of Franks. I thought he was all set to play?

Ferley's ok.
May come into his own on the last day if we can bat through tomorrow. With Swann and Patel away on England duty, and Voges back in 'Oz we were clean out of alternative spinning options, and you can't really afford to go into 4 day games at this stage of the season without one at all!
Not sure on the Adams v Franks scenario.
This was all I could find on the Notts website yesterday. No mention of an injury, can't believe Franks would be preferred, so suspect a fall out of some sort to be honest.

And incidentally, they should have the courage of their convictions and played Eng U19 batsman Alex Hales ahead of that chump Wood.

FFS. Someone get Andy Caddick off my bloody TV.
Decent batting by Davies and Slogdonki, though it looks like the roadiest road in Roadsville, Road County, the United States of Roads.
Though as I speak, Davies is rather meekly out stumped by Bedwetter for 92.

Looks like a sub-continent wicket doesn't it. Just middle it and collect four...
Did anyone hear Bob call Caddick & Coney 'our two kiwi commentators' earlier

Missed that from RGD. Class!
Liked his comment about modern fielding though, and how rather than throwing himself around a la Trego, he'd have been riding the boundary merely trying to spike the ball with his size 11 1/2's!

Chuckle...Slowanki out next ball too, and the camera cut to a celebrating fat lad in the crowd just in time to see him holding up his index finger and very clearly mouthing,
"Fark off, you Worcester . . . "
And then it cut away again sharpish!

I missed the Charlotte Church show for that. Rebecca Adlington's on it.

I saw this game. Well played both sides.
Apart from Somerset who royally cocked up a winning chance.

Forget the cricket. I just can't believe someone willingly watches the Charlotte Church Show. Biggest pile of wank in the history of wankdom.

Ambrose out for 5 last night, on a wicket that looks like being a road. We're going to have to start a suicide-watch for Bob when Prior gets back into the Test team.

FFS. Just seen that Essex won. HTF do they do it with that laughable bowling attack? And without their best batsman?
Ban Essex.

Hampshire beat Durham by two wickets! Fantastic result. Must have been a brilliant game of cricket too. Nottinghamshire, meanwhile, have secured full batting bonus points at last. We're on for at least 12 points in this one and, if we could sneak a win, the full lot of 22. C'mon Nottinghamshire!
