Indian Board President's XI v Aus
Board XI 18-0 after 4 overs.
Aus playing 5 bowlers with (I assume) Lee at 7. Is this close to their team for the first test? Siddle to make his test debut?

0/23 after 7, Clark proving more expensive than Lee.

If Michael Clarke didn't have a dodgy back Aus would surely play him as the lone spinner?

S Clark will NOT do too well in the 1st innings unless the Indians dish out the dark side of moon like they did at Kanpur this year.

Watson is not playing due to suffering from a high fever.

No, I think it's genuine, not another part of the body.
Siddle takes the third wicket.

Siddle has been the most impressive and effective bowler after Lee.
And hope many of you now agree that Badrinath is not of international class.

Didn't look good in the few matches I've seen him play. Something weird with his wrists and his grip. Doesn't look like he can score all round the wicket.

so that pretty much settles it. ganguly will play the 1st test and badri might not even get a test in the series

great chance for yuvraj and sharma though to make a claim for the last 2 tests. shows you the importance of selectors in india, domestic stats dont tell you if a player is of international class

Australia and Rohit treating Clark like an off spinner as he goes 4-4-6 to reach his fifty.

rohit needs to make a big one to stake his claim. this could be a turning point for him. hope he realises the importance of this innings

Krejka getting thrashed and McGain seriously injured. Not good we might have to rely on seam and pace plus Clarke in the test.

Ponting better practice his off spin in the nets.

Rohit Sharma you beauty.
What a fantastic innings. Sublime.
Couldn't the selectors have picked the team after this match :?:

Poor play by India - at this rate Krezja isn't going to be picked. Especially as Ponting is keen not to see him in the side by overbowling him and this:
67.6 Krejza to Kohli, no run, fuller on the legs, Kohli drives it straight to Ponting at short midwicket who drops the catch after juggling it twice

Rohit, Kohli and Yuvraj pissed at not being picked for Indian test squad. This how they are giving it back to the selectors.

Re: Indian Board President's XI v Aus
i dont think either of them can be justifiably pissed off, but its a great way of showing they are good enough to be in the new middle order
a loss or a poor match for australia will help india's cause anyways a la 1998

I wasn't being serious TO. It was a response to JGK's comment abt BP XI playing Krejza out of the first test.
