I don't understand the theory of bowlers getting sore and tired (each bowler bowling an additional 5-7 overs) for a match which is 4 days way !!

Surely giving yourself a chance to win the match outright would be much better than just 'tiring' out the bowlers.

It's not a test series so what's the point in a Board XI winning? I woul have thought they would have deprived us of valuable batting practice and continued to bat themselves.

The Australian bowlers had a forgettable day in the field and another concern was Brad Haddin's fitness. He was hit on the glove by one that kept low from Clark and had to go off the field. Michael Hussey stood in as wicketkeeper.

FFS, Haddin is soft!

Fark me. The game seems a very ugly portent of things to come.

Crazy's 0-199 off just 31 overs shows just what a bunch of farkwits the NSP has become. WTF were they thinking?

At least Paris and Punter got some quality time at the crease.

ridiculous declaration by yuvraj. either it should have been much earlier or not made at all. i would have preferred no declaration, run the bowlers into the ground and dont give any practice to the batsmen

Nah, Aussies just artfully concealing their strengths, making the Indians complacent; wait for the Tests and then we'll get bitchslapped out the stadium.

Agree. It was absolutely ridiculous of him to declare.

It's not that big a deal. Who knows- Maybe Lee and Clark would have run through India's lower middle order and tail and gained some much needed confidence before the test?

they were just 4 wickets down and batting very comfortably. hardly a time when you would fear a complete collapse
