What will they care? If they get their way we'll be a one party state before too long.

Remember that old whisky slogan ... "Don't be vague, ask for Haig" ...

Cute - if it wasn't for the fact they were knocking out rot-gut in a fancy bottle!

You are rather understating the case here surely.

Some really important events such as the 1966 World Cup and the 1985 Ashes are also reduced to meaninglessness as Britain sinks into the abyss.

No, a slight misquotation from the Book of Daniel, Chapter 5, v.27:

5:25: And this is the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.

5:26 This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it.

5:27 TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.

5:28 PERES; Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.

(From the Authorised King James Version)

as well as the Gospel According to the late, great Johnny Cash:

I wouldn't go as far as to say that. Let's keep a sense of proportion here. Smile

I still think a CONDEM alliance of some sort is on the cards.

The Lib Dems have just been using Labour as a bargaining chip and a fallback position if things go sour with the Tories.

Clegg also needs to keep his MPs happy - many of whom are pinkos and won't sign up to a Tory deal without at least checking out the possibility of a coalition with Labour.

That's all well and good when you're a footballer wanted by two clubs Hass ... play one against the other!
But this is a man who pledged in 3 "passionate" TV appearances his committment to tackling the country's woes and who clearly stated his and his party's intent to put country before politics and party.

Again I ask ... would you spend your hard-earned and buy a used car from this jerk?
Opportunist, callous, irreverent and self gratifying - the archetypal wishy washy LibDem pinko with airs and graces.

He's a politcian FFS! It's in his nature.

Quite simply, the Lib Dems would put Clegg's head on a spike if he didn't get some sort of concessions through bargaining.

Yes, it's unseemly - but that's politics.

Yeah, it cannot be denied ... So I guess the TV shows were just acting ... the sincerity, the piousness, the messiah act ... all pure bullsh!t ! Like I said ... now showing his true red/yellow colours ....
So the question now is : ... how far can he be trusted given his fickleness over the past 96 hours?

I'm just glad that the sole leader whose shown dignity throughout this sordid mess has been the Boy Dave. aye-aye

The Blackshirts supported Mussolini not Hitler. The Brownshirts were Hitler's fan club (at least until the 'Night of the Long Knives' in 1934). If you wish to make historical analogies you should at least make the effort to try and be accurate.

Word is Clegg and Cable are fully in the Tory camp but Ashdown & Campbell are against...

Looks like a minority Tory government to me, with the Libs letting the speech through and then fighting from the opposition benches

Add Simon (I demand Proportional Representation now, It's why I became a politician) Hughes to that list.
A rabid pinko on a "Let's get Britain into Europe" crusade.
