Just get your foot 10 cms further back FFS! A no ball is a no ball. There's no grey area when all you have to do is keep your foot behind a white line.
Welll better than his crowds don't come to see no balls whinge when Beer got think it was KP.

doctorspin wrote:Sorry Guys, just got to say this even though all of you in Oz have complained about this for years. Here in the West Indies, (where for my sins I currently reside) we are getting coverage from Nein; the first time I have had the "pleasure" of experiencing it. Now for the main part it isn't too bad; I know Nicklearse from C4; pretty intolerable, but to be fair gives decent insight amongst the Aussie fawning. But Healey; JEEZ, FFS! He is not just one-eyed; he has BOTH optic nerves wired to one eye. It f*cking ruins the experience. An Oz bowler bowls a good ball and the batsman plays it well; all we hear about is the bowler and how fantastic he is etc etc. If we are lucky, another (Oz) commentator will try and balance it. I've been impressed with McGrath I must say; wouldn't have expected such balanced commentary from him given his 5-0 past (the insight is no surprise). I'm not violent by nature, but can someone please get rid of Healey permanently? And he seems to have the mantle of principle commentator on his stints. FFS! Anywhos, fair doos to Oz for getting themselves into a potentially winning position against a team which really does look the dog's, even with a man short. Need to sort out the bowler's feet though. Why not give them clown's shoes, the extra long one's, extending back from the heal?
Look who's here. Good to see you back sir.
SACK HEALY NOW?????

It's morning here in India, so that would be interesting.

I hope not, but it is hard to tell the difference. He did say that during the Ashes though. Maybe it was Chef, but one of the pommies.JGK wrote:tricycle wrote:Henry wrote:Mark Taylor saying he thinks batsmen will make even more big scores because Umpires are being so tight with no balls.

Geez I tell you what, I thought there was a slight hotspot mark on Amla's bat there as well.

Agreed Sir. Most of them are bad, but Healy is awful And Ian Chappell's constant South African bashing is almost as bad as Red's.

Apparently* the ball leaves a brief reflection on the bat edge on Hot Spot if it passes close enough to the edge, but needs to nick it to leave a hot spot mark. That looked like one of those reflection moments. They were talking about it on Day 1.Henry wrote:Geez I tell you what, I thought there was a slight hotspot mark on Amla's bat there as well.

Well that's confusing, isn't it. So what looks like a touch might not actually be a touch, and often a feather of a nick doesn't even show up? Hotspot is overrated, IMO.

Me too.
The ball also seemed to take a clear deviation as it passed the bat.

Makes the no ball even more disastrous.
3/55 would really be 4/55 and ALL the pressure on Jackie and AB with very little after that.

Amla might've dodged another one. Sounded like a nick, turned down by Dar, but hot spot showed nothing (so a review wouldn't have overturned the decision). Commbox saying very fine nicks don't light up.

Warner walking past and sledging Amla- Cricket's least respected player vs cricket's most respected player.

One thing's for sure. This is so much more absorbing than a JAMODI or a JAMITT.

Kallis flinching a bit with the short balls these days. The only sign of his age. First instinct has become to avoid them rather than stand tall and smash them.

Pattinson v Smith
You don't get cricket duels like that in wank and run version of the games. Was good to see a fired up bowler who didn't send it wide like Midge.

Terrible shot by Amla. Who knew doing an 'England' on Day 1 and getting it on Day 2 would end up being a bad thing
Still, any win here (still unlikely) will be tarnished by the man-down factor
