Well done Faf. Surely one of the greatest debuts ever!

Also the bookends days couldn't be in starker contrast.

I honestly thought Siddle would pass out in the middle of the pitch towards the end there. He looked like a boxer struggling to stay on his feet after receiving a hefty blow.

Wade has done nothing since his streaky ton V Windies but unfortunately, Paine, while his keeping has been first class, his batting has fallen away, no doubt because of his changed grip due to his injury so i guess we'd better hope Wade can start showing his mettle.

Forgot about the jinx. We were always screwed because the skipper had scored a ton.

So the record continues. SA have never lost when Graeme Smith gets a ton.

Ah dear Malcolm Conn, you never fail to deliver
http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/cricket/australia-on-verge-of-test-summit-with-victory-all-but-certain-in-adelaide/story-e6frey50-1226523657068
"AUSTRALIA will return to the top of the world today once it completes a crushing victory over damaged and demoralised Test champions South Africa in Adelaide.
The underdog success story may come with a rush as South Africa heads into the final day of the second Test teetering on 4-77 after being set 430 for a record-breaking victory.
Australia’s success will be all the more significant without imposing young fast bowler James Pattinson, who has been ruled out for the remainder of the Test summer with a side strain suffered during the first innings."

He's right up there with that idiot Seppo golf writer who had written Europe's obituary before the final round of the Ryder Cup.

Perhaps he has JGK's powers, but also an audience, and a complete lack of awareness of his powers.....Scary stuff if you're an Aus fan!

I know Twitter isn't overly popular on here, but some of the 'trends' can give a big clue as to what are the big topics at the moment in a certain Country. Check out what's currently trending on Twitter in South Africa. Long live test cricket!

This test was a bit like Cardiff in that the Aussies rushed through their overs a bit. Sometimes quality as to come before quantity.

Agreed, Red. Lyon was running to get through his overs way too quickly.

I reckon that's a problem Hilfenhaus has all the time. Seems to constantly be rushing, when a few deep breaths and a plan at the top of his mark might work better. I wonder if it's a habit he's gotten into since Ponting was getting fined every second match for a slow over rate?
