I did manage to get 10.50s on Saf after Day 2 so I am pretty set either way.

But they haven't released the results of his scan yet, have they? He'll surely miss the Perth test at least, and probably Hobart as well.

Would've clearly been Aus's session had Paris not just perished. Even money now.

The only problem with digital radios is that they are not synchronised with play live at the ground which is a bit weird.

They mentioned in this morning's press that the injury was serious and could sideline him for the summer. With his age and injury history they might as well take the conservative approach.

2-95 in the session. Much better than the 5-50 I was worried about.
368 in front - another 50 to 70 would be nice.

At the start of play I would have taken 2/95 for the session but 1/95 sounds WAY better.
I'd take 3/95 in the next session though!

Australia is way on top; don't know why you guys are such nervous nellies.
Pattinson is a loss but then Kallis is badly hobbled. According to their doctor he aggravated his hammy yesterday so will be out for Perth now. And 7/206 is all we have mustered to date. And even Bradman couldn't make a ton.

Perth 2008
All their batsmen were fit, the pitch was true. Here there is a bit of up and down bounce and more assistance for the spinners. Krezja's confidence was rocked by Kallis in the first dig. Also AB made a ton but he hasn't made big scores all year. Smith also made a ton then but you wouldn't expect him to double up. Without Philander their tail is long. The main concern is the loss of Pattinson.

As mentioned though both of those pitches offered truer bounce. Adelaide tends to play tricks late in the game. They would have to make history again.

On the other hand, Smith is in good form, AB is due a big score, and Kallis showed in the first innings that he can make runs even on one leg.

If Aus can't win convincingly from here, three or four heads will have to roll.

Didn't Kallis score a hundred against us when he had a side strain?Henry wrote:Red wrote:JGK wrote:Red wrote:Australia is way on top; don't know why you guys are such nervous nellies.

Referral for lbw v Patto. Looks a no ball. But the lbw looks close. Going over.

I find Red's theory funny that because Smith made runs in the first innings he wont in the second. And if he'd made a duck in the first innings he wouldn't make runs in the second innings either, eh Red?
So Smith in bad form= He wont make runs
Smith in good form= He's due to fail
It must kill Red that he averages 50 after more than 100 tests. A spanner right in the works of her theories.
