I was going to say Well done South Africa.

But it's actually more a case of congratulations to Kallis and Faf, both monumental in both innings, and to a slightly lesser extent to AB for his invaluable if interminable stonewalling, and a bit to a doughty tail of three bowlers who together at least held out for a total of 73 balls for few (meaningless) runs.

(And Smith for his first innings and probably also leadership, to whatever extent.)

If South Africa can replace Rudolph and Tahir with any sort of improvements, they must be about equal in the odds for the series.

We have had a few in recent years..

Great Test match - only got to see the last hour and a bit on the TV, but what an hour or so it was. More exciting than any T20 shit.
