Re: Ashes Squad
Quite happy to see Rogers there, as it might mean they can piss Con off. Fork and Rhino are also good inclusions. Now will Clarke and Arthur give UK a fair go? No Midge - grouse.

Re: Ashes Squad
From our brockley:
11:49am: Ashes squad: Michael Clarke (C), Brad Haddin (VC), Jackson Bird, Ed Cowan, James Faulkner, Ryan Harris, Phil Hughes, Usman Khawaja, Nathan Lyon, James Pattinson, Chris Rogers, Peter Siddle, Mitchell Starc, Matthew Wade, David Warner, Shane Watson
Chloe Saltau: "Ryan Harris might only play a couple of Tests, but when he's fit he's one of the best quicks in the world and well worth having in the squad."

Re: Ashes Squad
Pretty strong bowling line up that should account well for themselves. Batting looks weak. Fork could play 5 Tests at no. 7.

Re: Ashes Squad
Based on the Indian tour Con, Twat and TCS are all lucky to be there.

Harris won't even make the squad because he will get injured on the A Tour.

Only Inverarity could pick a squad for a 3 month tour with two keepers but only one spinner.

Re: Ashes Squad
Nice early squad naming, too, gives 'the unwashed' plenty of time to prepare 5 raging turners. Lyon to play all 5, with spin support from Clarke and Warner?
and ... where's the workhorse?

And only Invers could pick a team with more keepers than middle order batsmen.

No Milf? What was the point in keeping him on contract if they are not going to use him for the Ashes tour?

That's a very good point BD.
Milf will take Harris spot when Harris breaks down on the A tour.

Yeah...thats what i was thinking too.
Re: Ashes Squad
Surely if Harris did break down then this NSP would replace him with Tim Paine

..tho that is where both might end up batting given that as ide from pup, there is no middle order bats with any form other than bad form..tho in the case of Uber K he has no form as he never gets to play a game ...

Re: Ashes Squad
Jeez the batting looks thin. Two geriatrics, two serial failures, a couple of hit or miss merchants & a couple of unkowns....and Clarke.
Re: Ashes Squad
aye...so we are relying ...again...on the tail making the runs

Re: Ashes Squad
Thankfully the tail (apart from Bird) really can bat. If only our 'batsmen' could bowl.
