There are games in Manchester and Northumberland where weather might play a strong part. Otherwise, yes.

Buchanan at least was a good coach for part of his tenure.
Arthur, as far as I can see, rose without trace. His time must nearly be up.

I don't think coaching has a thing to do with it. Buchanan had a better squad is all

Re: Ashes Squad
examining their records at State level on top of the international records reveals one man coaching sides to success and the other coaching them to failure; Arthur's departure from South Africa seems to have allowed them greater success as well. Can't wait to be rid of him TBH.

Never said Arthur was a good coach, it's just that I don't rate Buchanan either.

Re: Ashes Squad
What experience has Warnie had of Arthur's coaching?
Still, I think he made some comments on the 'homework' saga. Not positive IIRC.

Then I think we agree.
Buchanan was mostly a fair coach, with a brief period of being good.
Arthur has rarely even been at pass level.

Re: Ashes Squad
No-one wins 10-0. The most supreme Aussie team against one of our shitter teams doesn't win 10-0, so how a fragile load of wank is supposed to run wild over a slightly more fragile load of wank is beyond me. Seems to me that only Goughie, out of the ex-players, is being sensible about the whole thing.

Not fully agree. TBH you and I could have coached the Aus team in the good person and achieved the same results..
Buchanan doesn't seem to be helping NZ much.
