Saw Gravity yesterday.
Was better than I thought it would be.

12 Years a Slave -
Well acted, but long and laborious . . .
Django Unchained -
Much better on the subject matter and shed loads more entertaining.

I found Django tedious as hell. Much preferred Man with the Iron Fists.
I did see World War Z though. That's a couple of hours I won't get back.

One of the best films I've seen recently. Everything really was awesome.
The World's End. Not as good as Shaun of the Dead, better than Hot Fuzz

Can't believe this is 20 years old. Still possibly my favourite movie of all time:

Probably not my ALL time favorite but certainly up there with some great cameo performances.
Re: Anyone seen any good movies recently?
Incidentally, saw a DVD of the Robo-Cop remake. Utter crap with the only redeeming feature being, you guessed it, Samuel L Jackson's role as the shock jock presenter.

Re: Anyone seen any good movies recently?
'The Book Thief': some great performances
'52 Tuesdays': a real mixture; but redeemed by erotic schoolgirl scenes
'Hunger Games 2': shit
'Good Ol Freda': good documentary work with some previously unseen Beatles shots and video
'Annie Hall': classic revisited. Woody's hands are just flapping everywhere, constantly. Should have been a clue. Dianne Keaton, though, how 'hot' was she?

Re: Anyone seen any good movies recently?
an ex Mrs H looked a bit like D Keaton (but more attractive in my view) and had similar zany/persona to the roles the latter played...(the rlp started 36 years ago)....every now and then I see her and she takes great pleasure in 'kicking me out at 3.00 to go home"
