Interesting that Sachin is already in England. Any thoughts of him hooking up with a County for a couple of weeks?

He's on holiday with his family I think, which made him opt out of the WI tour. Doubt he'll join any county.

Nice of him to save his 100th hundred for this country anyway... Saturday at Trent Bridge would do nicely.

So today is the day the Scot's bubble is abruptly pricked by the talented but inconsistent Richard Gasquet, who will no doubt have an 'on' day and blow Murray off the court.

They've stuck Tomic and Malisse out on court 18. Starts in about half an hour.
Are there TV cameras on court 18?

Oh and of course if Nadal loses a set you can pretty much guarantee he will get the trainer on to try to f**k up his opponents rhythm. Despicable c**t.vilkrang wrote:As long as Del Potro beats Nadal I couldn't give two sh!ts what happens with Murray.Henry wrote:So today is the day the Scot's bubble is abruptly pricked by the talented but inconsistent Richard Gasquet, who will no doubt have an 'on' day and blow Murray off the court.
I think so, can't imagine they would have any match in the 4th round not on camera.Zat wrote:They've stuck Tomic and Malisse out on court 18. Starts in about half an hour.

Thanks vilky, I won't be watching but one of the teenage Zatellites has jumped on the Tomic bandwagon.

Fair dos to Tomic - only the 5th qualifier ever to make the QF at SW19.
Of course he will be smashed by Joker...

Maybe. Maybe not. Certainly an interesting part of the draw. And he doesn't seem to have been stretched.

So Tomic is an "Australian" born in Germany to non-Australian parents? You guys must be really proud.

Born in Germany to Croatian and Bosnian parents.
He will now overtake Marinko Matosevic as Australia's top ranked Men's tennis player. On the women's side, Jarmila Gajdosova and Jelena Dokic are battling it out to be Australia's top ranked female player.....

The women's game is such a lottery. There is no standout player these days. A top seed seems to get beaten every day.

At least the Williams sisters didn't turn up with barely any preparation and walk through to the final again... that would have shown up the competition. All-European last eight now, seven of the eight from the East.
Is the men's draw about to open up in the same way though? Federer a set down, Nadal struggling with an injury.

Re: The Wimbledon Thread - anyone for tennis?
Jesus, I'd forgotten how excruciating Nadal is to watch. Del Potro could go for a piss between points and Nadal still wouldn't be ready to serve. It's all very well the umpire asking him to speed up but it just makes the c**t go even slower.

Oh and Nadal isn't injured. He always does this, when will people learn?

Re: The Wimbledon Thread - anyone for tennis?
Potty certainly giving him a match here anyway. Fish won't be a pushover for the winner, he's looking a dangerous outsider having blown away last year's finalist Berdych in straight sets with some impressive serving stats. The Yanks' last stand could go on a while yet...
