I seem to recall the last time Red dissed this hard was during the last SA tour of Aus. At the time there were many posts about how crap and overrated Steyn was. Unfortunately her computer had a meltdown half way through the MCG test and she didn't post for the rest of the series.
At least I assume it was a computer problem.

I think you will find that I was posting during the Sydney test.
Anyway it's JG who is implying that he's a tailend bully, not me. I just simply said that he was in a relative wicket drought. That's a form, not class issue. Or maybe even a down on his luck issue!
Anyway the backend of the NZ innings did well after they looked like conceding the lead at tea.

Not really. Just think that Steyn is a quality bowler who's bowling without a consistent plan and he's probably the most expensive in the line-up atm. Morkel always leaks the odd boundary but seems to know what he wants to do. Philander is a constant prober. Not really convinced by Tahir who doesn't seem to have that much in his armoury.

Ryder is taking some time away from the game so he will probably not figure in the rest of this series.

Advantage SAf presumably, with the Kiwis to bat last.
That is, unless Martin knocks off a quick half in the morning.
Not sure Boult will stay with him though .... Usain he is not.

Trent Boult looks like one of those Kiwi cricketers who starts his career as a bowler, but ends up becoming more of a batting all rounder, ala James Franklin and Daniel Vettori.

Should've checked the time of my post
SA looking sharp though, they've got this one in the bag I reckon.

I reckon a 200 lead will be enough. You've got parity already. Not sure a ton is needed, maybe a big 50 and a couple of 40s.
Beautiful looking day, really nice looking. Rare in NZ. Shame they keep f*cking with the sight screen.

The only way I can see NZ reaching 300 is if LRPL Taylor and DL Vettori share a 180 partnership.

Want to be of the safe side. Steyn's toe doesn't good.

Have the Umps been told to give the benefit of the doubt with those low catches to the fielder? I reckon a couple of years ago that would have been given not out because of inconclusive evidence.
