It's a professional hazard of the game.
But South Africa now have the wood on the Sheep, you'd think.

Well it's back to square one going into the second test but SA started to get on top.
Dunedin was a poor choice of venue though, too much weather intervention and the pitch was lifeless.

Mukka will be telling anyone that wants to listen how he had a double hundred and a famous victory nipped in the bud.

You're saying it as if it was an unlikely scenario. Mukka was robbed.

Shame though... I got in and thought SA had won already, little did I know NZ had typically NZ-like weather.

Quote from the Telegrapgh Sports page ...
The final day's play in the first Test between New Zealand and South Africa in Dunedin has been washed out and the match declared a draw.
The result means the Proteas cannot unseat England as the world's No 1 Test side during this series. A 3-0 whitewash to match their one-day international efforts would have done so.
England will now receive $175,000 (£110,000) in prize money from the ICC for retaining their No. 1 ranking
Whew!

Nah, the only certainty was that at least one test would be farked up by rain.

110,000 pounds is all the ICC is willing to cough up for the leading test team in the World? Pathetic. One golfer can make that much money for finishing 3rd in a PGA tour event FFS.

This was my only reasoning that it would be tough for SA in NZ...
