And that's it. NZ need 400.

Amusing to see how these 'psychological' totals are always set.

Bracewell has followed up his promise in Australia with a reasonable match. Mouthee continues to disappoint, while Martin not be pleased with the second dig as he was lauding his record against SA the other day (his favourite team to bowl against) and in particular, his stats against Kallis and Sooky.

Guptill goes early. The golden summer the kiwi commentators were spruiking has lost some of its lustre since that other team from Africa turned up.

FFS
20.1
Imran Tahir to Nicol, OUT, What a tame dismissal, Nicol will be shattered, a loopy, juicy full toss on leg stump and it's struck straight to Smith at mid-on, silence around the ground, Nicol walks back dejectedly, he had just begun to grow confident

Only 325 to win now. Should be a doddle.

even the arithmetic comfortably favours a New Zealand win now.

Sounds like there will be rain for much of tomorrow.
So the inevitable Snoozie collapse should win this for the Saffers by about lunch.

I wonder why they're playing so late in the summer. Surely matches will be weather affected.
McCullum double century coming up.

NZ need 264 on the final day with eight wickets in hand.
If this pair stays together they're in with a chance.
Their tail is weak but to date there have been no real demons in the pitch or SA attack.

Kudos on the SAffie declaration. Gave themselves plenty of time to roll the Snoozies, but also gave the Sheep a wee chance.
264 to go or 8 wickets. Could be a cracking finish tomoz. Of course, it could all be over by Lunch.

Could be a cracking finish, I'm making sure I'm coming home after the theatre tonight to watch. Does that sound sad?

Never give a sheep a wee chance.
Or it'll be dags all over the place.
But I disagree with Skulls and Red. Odds are massively on S Africa, given that this is the fourth innings. Even if Steyn is pretty much hobbled.
The weather might save NZ, but it would be one of those record-breaking achievements for them to pull off a win. Call it a chance if these two put on another 100-140. I really can't see it.

As soon as I wrote it I realised it sounded totally unlike something an uncultured schlub like myself would be doing. The venue is a theatre, I'm going to see Stewart Lee. Woo.

Prospects look very bleak for play as Skully has outlined. Suppose that's what you get when you choose to play cricket in autumn in the southern most venue in the world!
