Have noticed that the running between wickets of the SA players, especially Amla has become quite helter skelter of late.

Actually I endeavoured to make the point that the majority of SA's team was just becoming acclimatised to the conditions so it was hardly surprising to see them skittled in swing-friendly conditions. So I farked up by saying nine instead of eight but you make it sound like it's a catastrophic error.


The point still stands.

Anyway "I think that should have left the seasoned players in from the last ODI" is pretty mild.

Well as Smith, Kallis and Morkel had all played in the ODI's the majority of the team was actually acclimatised, so you have now compounded your fark up.

Sooky played in one ODI in which he was dismissed cheaply, Kallis has been injured, missed some of the games.

Also depends how you define acclimation. Those who haven't played a match landed five or so days before they played but there's a difference between adjusting to new sleep patterns and the different weather and actually playing cricket. Your argument is tenuous.

The way the SA tail played showed there were no demons in the pitch and play has followed accordingly. Nicol perhaps out of his depth as a test opener.
