He could be awfully useful for society. Free castration and circumcision along with kicking out racism.

I hear Zokora's been on the phone to FIFA, proposing that they implement phase two in the anti-racism drive: F*ck Racist Players' Hot Wives Out Of Football.
Re: The Football Thread - 2011/12 (II)
Isn't that left to John Terry?
Then Zokora could start a new form of justice-F*ck Rapist Players' Hot Wives Out Of Football.

What a bunch of w@nkers Blackburn supporters are - even in the first half, they were more interested in venting their collective spleen against Steve Kean and the Venky's rather than getting behind their players. They deserve relegation.

It was the best bit of advertising Venky's got since buying Blackburn.

Two minutes. After two minutes they'd started the 'Kean out' chants. I couldn't agree more - see you later Blackburn.
Re: The Football Thread - 2011/12 (II)
They should get Roy Keane in as manager, to save the supporters having to spend money on new banners and come up with different chants.
Re: The Football Thread - 2011/12 (II)
That said, he did seem totally out of his depth.
The tactics against Tottenham last week - in a must win match in which they barely crossed the halfway line - were risible, as was his post match insistence that they'd played quite well.

Re: The Football Thread - 2011/12 (II)
Aye, I think the bloke hasn't a single clue. Not one. I'd have been calling for his head myself. But not after two minutes of a must win game.
Re: The Football Thread - 2011/12 (II)
Football fans though - they're not the most evolved. Making farmyard noises and generally spitting the dummy is all Blackburn fans have had to entertain themselves this season.
Re: The Football Thread - 2011/12 (II)
True. They seem to have gotten worse though, like some dramatic queenish pantomime Roman-types.
Re: The Football Thread - 2011/12 (II)
Even better news for them is that Venky's profits fell by 81% (released in February), the money is going to be pouring in.

No f*cking way will that happen. Just not possible.Dello wrote:Spuds favourites to finish third.
Beat Fulham at home (reasonable side, but useless on the road) and Arsenal will have to win at West Brom, which they won't. They couldn't beat Arsenal Ladies at present.

Most likely outcome, I think. Arsenal have packed up for the season. West Brom will be looking to end Roy Hodgson's reign on a decent note. I can see them holding out for a draw at least.
Beat Fulham, and Spurs take third.

Typical scouser dead rubbering
Any chance they will get with King Kenny and bring in someone like Biesla
They could also sell Downing to an Aus A-League side that is looking to add to their bench

I have pointed out the flaw in your logic. It is a meaningful match. No way Spurs will win. It's in their DNA to cock it up.

Fulham are very poor on the road.
I think Spurs will win fairly comfortably. 3-1.

Why are you trying to get my hopes up?
You already JGK'd Spuds earlier in the thread.

Just calling it as I see it. And I earlier predicted Arsenal and Spurs taking 3rd and 4th and that seems the be on course.
They might swap positions, but I think they'll both end up in CL places. Might be nervy, but I doubt Chelsea will overcome Bayern. They've ridden a f*ck load of luck to get this far.

Re: The Football Thread - 2011/12 (II)
best hope for Chelski is penalties, and then not let any of their Englanders take them.
What a shoite season it was for my team, particularly with Norwich doing themselves proud too. Wish Soton all the best, at least like Swansea they attempt to play footie unlike some sides who've gone up and employed the Aidy Boothroyd effect.

Jay, I hope you're right about Spurs and Arsenal. It would be even funnier if Arsenal was to finish behind Newcastle as well, because I've had an Arsenal-supporting mate going on about Spurs forgetting to 'Mind the gap' and suchlike for several weeks.
I'd love to be able to laugh at him on Monday, but I really can't see it happening.

Unlike Swansea, though, I'm not sure the Saints have the personnel to play the decent football they aspire to. It's all a bit Bambi on ice at times, watching them try and pass around a live hand grenade.
Not sure they'll get away with it in the Premier League. Depends what signings they make in the summer. I heard they were after Zat Knight.
FFS.

Borussia Dortmund 4-1 Bayern Munich after 58 minutes in the German Cup Final. F*ck me I love this team. But I'm still nervous. C'mon Dortmund. Let's see this out.
