I do have to give in to the rest of the household's demand to get a puppy though.
Just done that one.
what did you get?
Golden Lab. Smartest pup I have ever had. Always very good with children. The downside is that they can be destructive as pups.
I've got a black Lab. Trouble with lab's is that they don't have an off button when it comes to food. They are perpetually hungry.

Moodle is good.
Perhaps a mastodon crossed with a poodle?
Anyway, you can't beat a cockapoo (or as prim Aussies say, a spoodle)!

That's not a cross. Maltese poodle is a recognized breed, albeit they are stoepkakkers

So it'll be a yappy little hard-to-keep-clean thing?JGK wrote:Mrs K advises that M stands for Maltese.
I think I mentioned I was up at the old cheese's on the June long weekend and she was dog-sitting for her sister. The dog was a Cavoodle (half cavalier and half poodle). I took it for numerous walks but it was a bit wet and it got filthy, so I washed it. The sister insisted that it had to be specially brushed and blow-dried FFS. Took about half an hour.

Meh. I've already made it clear that washing, feeding, walking and picking up poo is the domain of everyone else in the house.
If it gets me a guilt free trip to the Ashes then it is totally worth it.

Mrs K has given in principle agreement for me to take a few weeks of my long service leave to go to a few of the Ashes matches.
Any other Aussies likely to be there? Am thinking Lords and OT at the moment if I can get tickets.
yes - but getting tickets is (literally) a lottery

As an SCG Member I do have some reciprocal rights at Lords and the Oval. I also have a few other contacts. Worst case, I just buy from a scalper or get them through a Merv tour (without actually going on the tour).
Anyway, it's all more real now because we've bought the stupid dog which, as a homage to the deal between me and MrsK, we've called "Ash".

So it's crapping all over the place? In homage to what he know is coming, ours has been named Havoc.

Actually, we had the dog whisperer in today and she reckoned Ash was already half house trained. She mostly stands at the door when she wants to wee or poo.

... interesting. I will definitely be around for some of the Tests. I also have some contacts who MAY be able to assist me with tickets outside the lottery system or the ridiculous expense of some bogan tour I don't wish to take. Keep in touch.
