I'd be curious to know if it was reported, not that I know specifically what this is all about.

You all have too many shitfights for me to keep up... I don't care about it, I just think some of your (plural) claims to maturity and adulthood and free speech on this forum are slightly undermined by some childish, petulant, must-have-the-last-word arguments. You wouldn't speak to each other face-to-face like that. You use words on a forum because nothing will actually happen to you, and I suppose it is somewhat cathartic. This doesn't apply to you all, of course. But we mostly know who the usual suspects are.

Reporting the whole forum because of that is pretty low, though. It affects us all, not just those who you're pissed off at.

I literally have no idea what this thread's all about.

But reading through it provoked a few yawns.

Provocative behaviour - Page 9 Empty Re: Provocative behaviour

Post by Fromage Fri 23 Nov 2012, 21:21

Hello everyone

I have noted the discontent among some posters at the short time-out given to one poster recently. That poster and all Flaming Bail members were given clear notice that undue provocative behaviour would be dealt with.

To clear up any confusion, there was no report. I observed what I considered to be something that clearly contravened my earlier warnings, and took action. That action was a 90 minute time-out.

I believe I can rely on the commonsense of all posters from this point, and therefore believe this will an isolated incident. This is more about not bringing undue attention to Flaming Bails, than what some misguidedly see as an attempt to stifle free Forum speech.

Regards

Fromage

Clear as a bell.

Situation well clarified. And I don't see how anyone could take serious issue with the point of view as explained.

Sorry to be the dissenting voice here, but that isn't the forum we signed up for. I honestly don't believe that Big Brother is staring over our shoulders. It that was so, we would have not lasted 6 months.

I suspect that I might not the the only one that thinks that way.

I signed up for a forum where we could talk about cricket and cuss each other uphill and downhill all day long so long as we treated each other with a modicum of respect

"This is more about not bringing undue attention to Flaming Bails, than what some misguidedly see as an attempt to stifle free Forum speech".

These are Fromage's words - is he saying "for f@cks sake don't report anyone?"
