Re: Rugby League 2015
They actually looked OK in the 1st half. Just far too many errors to win a game but.
Well, for the Drags sake, I hope you get your Whopper.

Yes same old same old with the Eels, get in a position to win and then lose it with basic errors.
As for the Drags, if they cost me a Whopper.

Yeah, I feel your pain. St George have had a similar history (except for 2009-2010 - the Benny years) for the past 15 years.
I'll curse the Drags with you if they cost your Whopper.

Tough game. Reynolds' surprise return made a big difference to the Bunnies. They had much better attack this week than in previous outings.

Re: Rugby League 2015
Heh. At 10-6 and the Drags playing quite well, I bet you were dribbling over that "inevitable" Whopper. Still, good defence by the Bunnies in the 2nd half. St George had enough ball to win it.
Bad luck, old cock.

Parramatta Eels facing huge fine for breaching salary cap

Parramatta are facing a significant fine from the NRL for breaching the salary cap.
The Eels have been locked in talks with the NRL for several months over several anomalies in their cap related to payouts given to players in recent years.
Last year it was reported that Parramatta were paying upwards of $750,000 to players who were playing at other clubs. As a result, the Eels were unable to re-sign centre Willie Tonga and forced to off-load Jacob Loko at the end of 2014 because of their precarious cap position.
It now appears the NRL has acted against the club. Sources close to the situation confirmed Parramatta officials had been in consultation with the NRL for several months as they attempted to iron out wrinkles in their cap.
As well as the dramas surrounding former players, the Eels are also believed to have issues related to a car used by Fuifui Moimoi, which was paid for by the leagues club prior to him leaving at the end of last season.
The ramifications for the club could be significant. Aside from receiving a hefty fine from the NRL, the club has also signed Manly superstar Kieran Foran and NSW back rower Beau Scott for next season.
Those signings could come under scrutiny in the wake of the latest revelations.
The Australian was told the NRL could hold a press conference later today to announce any sanctions.
