Shame for Warks to lose Woakes (to England) v Durham. Durham look like they may get the 260-odd required.

21 matches, 1648 runs @ 54.93, 7 tons, 5 half tons, HS 282*
That's what.
Re: English Domestic Season 2016
Lancs predictably crack and burn. Batting (yet again) as brittle as a mobile case when the chips are down.
Well played the Yorkies.

Re: English Domestic Season 2016
Incredible match between Somerset and Gloucestershire, Somerset's number 10 and 11 (Overton and Groenewald) put on over 60 runs for the last wicket partnership to win the match by one wicket, when number 11 came to the crease they only had 50 odd balls to do it in as well.
One for the stats men, apparently it's the second biggest last wicket partnership to win a match (not sure if they just meant in England) but have a number 10 and number 11 ever put on that many to win a match?
I think I'd be surprised if that's not a record.

We'd have won if it weren't for Richard Levi didn't get injured. Still, what sort of arseclowns concede 445? Our sort of arseclowns, that's who

I watched this game on TV. It was just like a throwback to the old JPL - cracking game.

Should be Pete. I was beginning to fear that the wheels were going to fly off after two consecutive defeats.

If anyone doubts Joe Clarke's ability - get a look at a shot he played off Plunkett of the back foot through the covers for four. In some countries, a 20 year-old with four first class tons would have already played his first test.

Wonder why Rashid didn't come on earlier when Leach was smashing the faster bowlers. Not that it'd have made up for the insipid batting.
And WTF Olly Stone? Out for the season after injuring himself celebrating Moeen's wicket.

Re: English Domestic Season 2016
I was watching it with my Dad who was visiting, I went for a shit and when I came back he had changed channels saying that Gloucestershire had effectively won and that he wanted to watch the start of the Australia - West Indies match. I told him something he told me at a match we went to when I was about 13 where I thought for certain that Northants had lost and begged him to let us leave which he did and we found out later that they made a come back and won, something he has reminded me about constantly for nearly 20 years, and that was to always see a cricket match through to the end as you never know what can happen so we switched back and were treated to one of the best comebacks and finishes to a match I've ever seen.Basil wrote:vilkrang wrote:Incredible match between Somerset and Gloucestershire, Somerset's number 10 and 11 (Overton and Groenewald) put on over 60 runs for the last wicket partnership to win the match by one wicket, when number 11 came to the crease they only had 50 odd balls to do it in as well.

Almost wish we hadn't as it would make him finally shut the f*ck up about the match we left when I was younger.

Absolutely dread. We're a skeleton squad as it is. It's a f*cking huge blow

Lay off four good men, Baz!
About the same time (hard to keep up with the constant alternations between 50 over tournament, T20 Bashing & CC - is that currently suspended??) Lancs got thrashed by Yorks by about 750 runs. Well, slight exaggeration, but massive.
Such that Gilo accused the Lankies of lacking character! :o)

Re: English Domestic Season 2016
Hey Danny, I see that your man Murphy (BIG Northants wraps you gave him when we viewed that game together last year) was ever so slightly slightly outscored by Rossington in Northants' game yesterday!
So is Murphy really just a crab regardless of the situation, as you intimated last year, or was Rossington's innings a brilliant one appropriately supported by a sedate partner?
