Bold prediction - we may win this. Or we may not.

Footage has been unearthed and shown on FoxCricket's excellent 'The Big Break, which will considerably fatten the anorexically thin (even by the man himself's standards) dirt file Horrie keeps on Tim Paine
The film, with audio, shows El Timbo whistling a 'tune' suspiciously like Good Old Collingwood forever. There could be a perfectly reasonable alternative explanation for this, but if so Australia's cricket fans do need to hear it, and soon....

Well of course I wouldn't object to to it Fred, but on twitter last night pundits were adamant that he's a Hawk fan and it's more akin to their theme song, though others are adamant that he's a Bomber supporter given his ties to Robert Shaw.

Could have been the Hawthorn song....no way Essendon.
Also any family connection to Rob S is also a connection to the Collingwood Shaw clan as Robert is Ray and Tony's first cousin

A pissy 36 is still our best partnership of the match. Sigh.

Records fall like ninepins....after barely half a hour, Uzi's Oz match record individual score of 33 falls to Mush snr who now powers on to 36. Hope the Ooze cancelled the merchandise orders in time.

Bog a bit stiff in both innings. Got the ball of the innings in the 1st dig and given out in the 2nd to one that allegedly would've shaved the leg stump.

44 probably enough to get effing Shaun Marsh a game in Sydney. They're still raving about the 44 he made in CT all those years ago.

Unless Puddle, Head or Ima can score a miracle ton in this innings (yes, a laughable suggestion, I know) Aus will have made just 4 tons in calendar year 2018.
You have to go back to 1996, when Aus played just 5 Tests, to find a lower number of individual 100s in a year. We made just 2 in 1996.

The fact is though Skully, he didn't pick the slower ball in the first, and without hitting pad in the second it would have taken the stumps.
If it is going to hit, it's out. The only thing one could quibble about is that umpire's call is a bit of a lottery.

Good decision by the ump. Good for the long term future of Oz cricket...
Bog has made one half century in his last 18 knocks for Oz. Keen to see yet another Hollow Man failure. He has a historic record to preserve and improve on.
Disappointed the crowd did not give him the appropriate welcome.

It was hardly a howler. In pre DRS days, no one would have quibbled about the decision.

Rare highlight for the crowd of sorts.
Gosh Shaun cannot even make his average during this match and it's a rather modest average in this era of inflated averages.

Weak as piss Puddle succumbs to a poor shot.
Please, please, please let that be the last match he plays for Australia.

Heard Lalor tell the story about Wrench and cbnlg in the UAE.
According to Lalor, cbnlg got out the wrong side of bed one day. Arriving at practice on a fierce hot day, he saw Wrench and an unnamed player doing stretching exercises in the shade.
Cbnlg abused both, Wrench in particular for not stretching in the sun. While the other players went to the nets Wrench was directed to run around taking high ball catches from Haddit. (Really stupid for the best first slip in the squad).
After 40 odd minutes of this 'whipping' (Lalors description), Wrench became heat stressed and Haddit had to help him back to the Pavilion. According to Lalor, cbnlg thought Wrench was arrogant and needed to be given a few lessons.
After a terrific County stint, since UAE Wrench has been a shadow of himself. There is now bad blood between the two. Even if Wrench was in form I doubt cbnlg would pick him.
As I write Hollow Man fails again. What a shocker.
Sack the filthy useless gnome and Hohn's for making Fink open, selecting the Bane brothers and being tactically clueless.
