Let's hope he shows some of last summer's form if chosen.
This could be the worst moment in Skully's forumming career, dating back to the ABC days.
Nah. "Worst" moment was farewelling my ugly little mate.
To this day I still have dreams of having cricket conversations with the little bugger.

Aye.... fair point S, that was an awful time.
Should have said most embarrassing.
I wonder what he would have made of the current pickle we are in.

He'd have some cracking one-liners to sum up our malaise.

So Mitch has officially got the nod. It was only a matter of time.

cbnlg ... the Christmas cracker joke.
I hope the prick makes a king pair, drops crucial catches and delivers seven very expensive wicketless overs .... and
despite his contribution as a dead weight we still win.

I forgot his drop kick brother is also 'playing'. Odds on a Bannie win will be shortening.
Every year I look forward to the Boxing Day Test. Not now.
I cannot imagine I will bother to watch this travesty of a team coached by a punch drunk arse licking moron.

So Puddle for Wank in the Aus XI, but India have certainly swung the axe.
"India have responded dramatically to their loss to Australia in Perth, remarkably dropping both of their openers among three changes for the third Domain Test.
The tourists announced their XI on the eve of the third Test at the MCG, dropping KL Rahul and Murali Vijay as well as paceman Umesh Yadav.
Star offspinner Ravichandran Ashwin has again been ruled out, having not fully recovered from the abdominal strain that sidelined him in Perth.
Left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja comes into the XI after missing the first two Tests, batsman Rohit Sharma has been recalled and Mayank Agarwal is set to make his debut.
India XI: Virat Kohli (c), Ajinkya Rahane, Mayank Agarwal, Hanuma Vihari, Cheteshwar Pujara, Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah.
...
But the decision to axe both openers smacks of panic for an Indian side which has relied heavily on Virat Kohli, Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane for runs during the series.
Agarwal appears likely to open alongside Hanuma Vihari, who batted at No.6 in Perth but is considered well suited to moving up the order."

India there for the taking in my view, for sure. As Mr Taipan rightly said the toss could be the difference for this game but i really think Aus can win batting second as well. Come on 'stralia put a few 90+ mph deliveries up their pipes.

Looks a typical MCG blancmange. So far no movement, no pace and no bounce.

Long day ahead for Aus.
Might already be able to call this a draw, given that in the Shield games the wicket has got better as the game proceeded.

Wait until the heat of the day and make the Hollow Man bowl 12 overs into a northerly.
Never before I have so looked for a massive fail from an experienced Oz player.
Yes I laughed when Schoolgirl appealed his plumb lbw's and giggled at the arrant stupidity of gcspoc cretinous failures, Bung Lee's appalling absence of skill and tactical wisdom, Norm O'Neill's repeated cover drives directed at the fieldsman, K Snr at the end bowling slow mwdium trying to prove his worth as an all rounder.
There are innumerable examples. But the crucial difference between these events and M Marsh are the anticipation of the inevitable failure the latter brings. With all the others I laughed in retrospect, with Hollow Man, I laugh in prospect.

Just 1 slip for the quicks after the first 45 minutes.
Fark the MCG curator.

that's pretty standard if I recall. more likely to be caught at short cover/mid-wicket due to slowness of pitch/tennis ball bounce.

2nd gets Vihari with a bouncer that keeps a bit low - manages to glove it to slip.
Well, that's the point, Nath. It's a shit wicket that needs to be livened up.

Text read on SEN, 'The Make a Wish Foundation has granted Mitch Marsh a bowl on Boxing Day's. Total gold.
Katich was infuriated as the text, laughter in the box undermined his slavish talking up of the Hollow Man.

My ideal scenario is Mishmash taking no wicket except Bumsrush in either innings, losing his wicket to him in both, and taking the hint at the end of the match

2nd strangles Agarwal after a good 76.
2nd has easily been our best bowler.
2-123 at Tea.
