True, but I don’t want to curse the Demons with my support.

I was at the G for their last Premiership.

Hope they win and the Umps do not gift the game to Freescray.

We all suspected old, stale, tired, slow Geelong would find their natural level (with their nose) at this time of the season as usual - but that doesn't constitute a choke. The real howler from the weekend was the Squealin' Teal, at full strength, at home, with even the Govt pulling out the rule book to aid and abet them. Appropriate that their Eddie-equivalent's name is very close to 'choke' spelt backwards.

Am pleased the Dogs got through, should prove to be a better GF because of this. One can't trust Port, maybe they need to wear their prison bars. Very Happy They are the real chokers.

And they had no choice but to appoint him because when they ousted Teague they said they were going with an experienced coach to take them to finals next year.

After stalking Clarko, unsuccessfully and courting the Scotts and Lyon to no avail, they could hardly give the head job to an untried type.

Lyon - TFFT (unwatchable game plan, and if we wanted a media master-baitor who coached a bit we'd never have sacked Malthouse), Clarko Almighty - had to be sounded out (but chequered history with CFC which would have left him permenently vulnerable), B. Scott - meh, C. Scott (no plan B, in any case not worth holding up the process any further for), Buckley - no issue (but he wasn't that keen anyway)

Come Easter next year, which queue ticket Voss had now won't matter a pinch of crap.

The Dees win!!

Amazing GF. All Dees in 1st Q, all Dogs in 2nd Q, then the Dees went berserk in the 2nd half to swamp the Dogs.

I wonder if a team kicking 16 of last 17 goals in a GF is a record? Probably not.

Anywho, great job by WA putting on a successful Granny.

The game turned the moment that little shit Daniels from the WBs absolutely needlessly threw Max G into the Astroturf two metres past the boundary line with the ball out of play and out of screen range, then mouthed off as he got up. Dogs were 19 points up and making Melb look slow and lethargic - Petraaaaaaca and Oliver saw it and (to say the least) did not cop it. Rest of game: Dees 100 points, Doggies 7

Another boring GF - how many more blowouts can we have? This on top of two one-sided prelims too. Matched only by the horrendous entertainment before the game.

You are truly the master.

Foostcray even lost the free kick count. The dogs barely gave a yelp for the last 45 minutes and were humiliated.

The Dees just played great footy.and totally deserved their win. I went to their last Premiership in 64.

Petracca gave a master class.

Did anyone really expect the Dogs to win though? They had a peripatetic last month, they lost a key forward in Bruce, their defence can be brittle, they have a deep midfield but it is quantity, not quality compared with the Dees.

BTW, this morning on the Footy Show, the Melbourne players denied that the Daniel and Gawn incident had any effect on matters.

Daniel should get a suspension but wont.

A few other Dogs may have pause for concern.

This should include Squibba, but he won't care. London to a brick he is already on all the Colonel's herbs and spices.
