Not many surprises this round and crowd figures slightly down on what was expected. Buddy still four off his 1000 goal target.

WCE losing to Gold Coast at home was a shock.

Zim has slit his wrists.

Just 20,000 Weasel fans bothered to turn up. This is a Club that has a wait list for membership.

The fan base is not one that follows their Club through thick and thin.

I think they overestimated the expectations. Plus if the Demons-Bulldogs game was on Friday instead of Wednesday, they would have achieved a better crowd number. Saints vs Collingwood would have drawn about the same number regardless.

Realistically there were between 15-20k on the field. Unless security had machine guns they had no chance. No-one was hurt and Buddy loved it all.

Heaps of funny stories - the two players locked out and queuing to get back in, Rampe scoffing a pie with people having a picnic, a tipsy Mrs Horse taking selfies in the goal square etc.

The most remarkable thing was Buddy kicked 4 straight and not one looked like missing.

A bloke going full-tilt accidentally ran straight through Zac Tuohy and dropped his phone and wallet. Zac saw the phone the instant before finding it with his boot, went haring off after the owner and grabbed him. His title in his Carlton days was the Angry Leprechaun and he remains a scary-looking individual at full tilt close up, and apparently mobile phone man shaped up, thought Touhy was about to thump him. Eventually Zac was able to calm him down and say 'never mind that crap, this is your bloody phone'
