Eight almost finalised now, top 7 pretty well rusted in if not in that order, with Tigers, Dogs, Saints vying for 8th, only miraculous maths keeping Port and the Suns theoretically in it. Still possible that the Tigers could finish 9th.

Yep. There was a bizarre sequence of events that could have led to the Bombers making it. The Pies expunged that with a goal after the Final Siren. Interest is really turning to the make up of the top 4.

The true highlight of the Round was the better umpiring and the implementation of  an interpretation that stopped frees for players deemed to be deliberately seeking head high tackles. The worst exponent of the cheating tactic Jack Ginnipig had a shocking game , much to the joy of millions of fans

Separated at birth: Go to 53 sec mark and check out the likeness to a certain veteran Geelong forward.

With their aging team, surely 2022 is the Last Waltz for this Cats outfit

Lid still firmly on but I don’t think they’re any more obviously ‘close to the end’ than they’ve been throughout the last 10 years. Close, De Koning, Henry, Stengel, and Atkins are all young enough and fast enough to cover those exiting stage left (Selwood, Dangerfield, Rohan, Kolo). Better balance this year than for a few years, and Cameron is a gun, so we’ll see.

It is Geelong's flag to lose.

Prolly a Dees v Cats GF.

My mob are in fair form. Much of it is driven by a few handy youngsters.

Kennedy can't get a game and is expected to move to Geelong or West Coast.

The Betts book is out. 23 chapters don't mention The Camp, but Sam Edmond has just read bits of the one that does, and it seems that the goings-on that weren't downright abusive, and a great deal was, was just your standard cornflakes-pack MBA Glen Garry Glen Ross-style crap. Mouth Almighty Roo, and anybody else who was within a hundred miles of this circus, has to walk the plank

On Thursday night's news they interviewed Max Gawn with the caption - Collingwood captain.

This morning the ABC described the Dees key defenders as Lee and Maver.

Dogs and Saints are both on deathwatch this weekend - even one loss snuffs out their mathematical chances.

We Oz could all have an interest in the Finals 'cept for Nath (hawks)

Lardy - Cats
Red - Pies
Wally - Brisbane?
Embee - Tiggers
Skully, MrK Swans
Me - Bloods

The weird thing is that both Josh Kennedy's careers finished on the same day.

The Eagles guy retired at the perfect moment - kicking 8 in a turn back the clock moment. He got a well organised celebration. The Bloods Josh Kennedy who holds the record for winning contested ball ripped a hamstring in the 2s trying to get fit for the Finals. He was playing at the cesspit of the Arden St Oval (Norf's home ground).

I think Sydney Josh needs 2 more games to end up on the same number as WC Josh.
