Aye. The Saffers need to scurry home to play a vitally important T20 match on Boxing Day.

Hopefully the A game in Sydney will be mostly washed out so the Saffers have no game time before hand.
Might the only way we win a session.

The Chief's sister's new squeeze (a top bloke and a man who loves his cricket) has been nagging me to go out to farkin Campbelltown to watch a game with him. Their local Grade side has picked up Dirk Nannes for their T20 comp. Might be worth a trip.

He's even threatened to come and get me.JGK wrote:skully wrote:The Chief's sister's new squeeze (a top bloke and a man who loves his cricket) has been nagging me to go out to farkin Campbelltown to watch a game with him. Kevin Mitchell reckons it'll be a normal Gabba wickets with life early and then plenty of runs. So Pup to win the toss, bats, we get rolled for 150 by Tea then Amla scores 200.

Clarke is more likely to send the opposition than Punter who would even bat on greentops under cloudy skies.
KOK talking up Doolan for the tests.
BTW while Mitchell said there would be plenty of runs on offer he also said that it would have more pace and bounce than usual.

Further to Red's comment on the other thread:
Star allrounder Shane Watson has thrown another scare into the Australian camp ahead of the three-Test series with South Africa.
Watson appeared to injure himself while bowling his first over of the day for NSW before lunch on day two of their Sheffield Shield clash against Queensland in Brisbane.
The downcast 31-year-old stopped short after his sixth ball and then held a lengthy conversation with captain Michael Clarke.
He stayed on the field for the following over but, when spinner Stephen O'Keefe picked up the wicket of Joe Burns next ball, he left Allan Border Field and headed to the Blues dressing room.

It was hard to detect what the problem was but Watson has been troubled by a calf injury this year.
The scare comes after Ricky Ponting was withdrawn from Tasmania's Shield match against South Australia on Friday due to hamstring soreness, Pat Cummins was ruled out of the summer with a back injury and all members of the Australian top order suffered Shield failures in the past 48 hours.
The first Test between Australia and South Africa begins in Brisbane on Friday.

If Watson is ruled out they'll probably pick a specialist batsman to replace him. I wonder if Alex Doolan knows how close he is to an Australian test cap?
