Super day that was - eventually!
Great avatar too - love Johnno. So heart warming to see him back with us, and provides us with a pleasing link to much happier and more successful times.
And stick it where the sun don't shine, JKL!
Fully agreed. I felt so proud of the Notts support that day!
If we can get a bloody big striker, we'll do alright next year.

Re: Your favourite sporting pictures...
The Simon Jones one in particular does not work half as well without seeing the setup that had come from the previous several deliveries.

Perhaps could do with an extra couple of close fielders in there though...
Wonder where the 11th fielder was?
Surely rather than fending it off the best tactic would have been to meet the ball on the full

Re: Your favourite sporting pictures...
I count 13 players, presumably eleven fielders and two batsmen.

Re: Your favourite sporting pictures...
Can anyone name all the players - I think the keeper in Knott, the rotund chap at slip is Cowdrey, the bowler Underwood, John Snow is the closest fielder on the leg side and I think thats John Edrich square on the offside. Is it Illingworth stood in front of Edrich?
Re: Your favourite sporting pictures...
Definitely Cowdrey at slip and Edrich fielding the ball, too grainy for me to pick out the rest apart from the obvious Knott behind the stumps.

The fat one on the right might be Colin Milburn
Re: Your favourite sporting pictures...
I'm quite amazed that there are 2 Notts County supporters and 2 Forest supporters on this forum...

It's amazing really considering we don't have that many members just how little taste there is here...

From left-to-right, I'd say the England players are: -
Illingworth
Graveney
Edrich
Dexter
Cowdrey
Underwood
Knott
Snow
Brown
Milburn
D'Oliveiria
