He's never given a great account of himself in words. Partly a problem of substance, partly ... of language.

His initial speech re: Hughes was perhaps the best speech of his career. But that wasn't so much about himself, and didn't require a lot of ideas, just reflection.

For someone who was going to be a Great almost as a natural progression (since he was Ponting's successor), his career feels very 'light'. He himself seems to lack the gravitas of his predecessors. Is he now involved in cricket at all in any way (commentating, coaching etc)?
