Re: AFL 2017
In case ex Mrs H checks this I'll whisper it, Gooooo Giants!
I like the idea of no Vic teams being in the GF. That said I expect the Tiggers to win. The crowd will be a factor today as there will be 95,000 feral tiger fans attending today.
Btw, commis to Lardy on the Cats being wiped. Bad way to end the season.

Re: AFL 2017
If you'd offered me a PF at the start f the season I'd have bitten your hand off.
They only secured their place in the 8 three weeks out from finals. Their best was very good, but too often they didn't play at their best. We might have played a GF with more consistency but I think a Premiership was always just out of reach. Recruitment has been good though and we won't lose much moving into next year. Mack and Lonergan retiring at the right time.

I believe he did put money on them. I suspect JGK must have done so, too.

Re: AFL 2017
Nobody except Carlton has beaten Richmond in a Grand Final since WW2.
Nobody but nobody has beaten Addledville in a GF.
Good that te GF will be between teams 1 and 2 who each beat 3 and 4 on the way through. Not that I give a flying arse for the AFL being 'proven' 'right' about the pre-finals bye, but I was concerned the WBs flag last year was being reduced to Mickey Mouse status by the SBM noise.
Sorry Jono Brown, you can bang your chest until you ram a rib through your shoulderblade but next week no 9 for Richmond is no 11 for Melbourne.

Close enough to regulation....I'm unconvinced about the bye, but I do like the Thursday final in the first week.

Go Crows! Would be good to have a close final for a change. This series has seen one-sided games and there have been very few recent close grannies.

Re: AFL 2017
TLA has booked a yurt up a mountain in Switzerland for the time the GF is on ...not sure if there is wifi available up there
As i've watched every GF since 80 (except the 10 replay) and most since 73 this may be a good thing

Advise 'Heidi' aka TLA that you have an emergency meeting at an early opener sports bar.
Alternately do what I did in Florence in 96. I rang a mate who was watching the game seven or eight times for updates.
Btw the Tiggers played very well yesterday. The Giants gave a good contest. Rioli played a blinder. Cotch may be in strife but expect him to get off.

Sorry lardy. I didn't count on them being instructed to communicate only in semaphore either side of halftime.

Good luck to the beany's side in the Granny. Will be tough without their skipper. Dusty will need to play off his tits.
