Heavy favorites, Nath.
They were outplayed for most of the 1st Half last night yet ended up romping away with the game.
Parra will have to play a perfect game and defend like they did v Cows to have any chance.

Re: Rugby League 2022
Interesting play by Parra to bring Nathan Brown onto the bench for the GF.
Cartwright has had that role for the last few games and Brown has played his last 12 games in Reserves.
I wonder what's changed.

Re: Rugby League 2022
The 3 disallowed tries to Penrith distorted the first half ...they were clearly in front of souths
Parra has already beaten Penrith twice this season so i think they have shown all their cards ...unless they can push Cleary's brain fart button again

Re: Rugby League 2022
Was just talking to the little bro who ran into a bloke he went to school with, on a job this morning.
This guy has a 21 year old son who plays lower grade for the Eels. He has confirmed to his Dad that the nepotism claims at Parra are dinkum. There is very much an US group & a THEM group.
So much so that Nathan Brown blew up at training 3 months ago. Hence him languishing in lower grade stuff for the past 12 weeks.
Arthur needs his best team for the GF so Brown got the call up. Apparently* he is absolutely filthy with Arthur & the Eels & is ready to explode.
Watch out for fireworks on Sunday.

BTW, the kid's name is Hollis and is 6'4"".
He also said that the Eels have an absolute gun half in the lower grades but Arthur's son leap frogged him because of his Dad.

Re: Rugby League 2022
The stupid thing is, Jakob doesn't even play. So Parra are going out of their way to handicap themselves.
Anyway, I'm off the the game tomorrow with a couple of long suffering mates who are Parra fans. It's a shame the Dragons' women didn't make the NRLW final.

Enjoy, MrK.
My little bro is a die hard Slime supporter, so he shares your mates' hopes.

Re: Rugby League 2022
Dominant win by the Panthers (28-12).
MrK's long suffering Parra mates would've know pretty early that 2022 was a forlorn hope. All Penrith in the 1st Half to lead 18-0 at Oranges.

Ugh. Many of my old workmates from Western Sydney will be struggling after that shellacking.

Re: Rugby League 2022
LOL @ Slime supporters sooking about Penrith's post match stirring of the Eels.
I remember Alfie Langer dancing on the bar singing "St George can't play" after we lost 2 GFs in a row to the Nags in the 90s.
Journo Paul Kent even said the Pennies have ruined their legacy. What a load of bullshit.
Winners are grinners, the rest can cry

Re: Rugby League 2022
Pretty average match - the women's match was more exciting.
Panthers just way too good. Hard to see them not winning next year unless their motivation falls away. Talent wise, they are streets ahead.

Re: Rugby League 2022
My partner, who really had no clue about Rugby League until we met (she is Colombian - my Spanish is still rubbish ), has become a real Panthers fan.
She loves the South Pacific Islanders, particularly Jerome Luai. She was thrilled with this morning's result for the Samoans.
