Re: AFL 2024
The mighty fighting Hawks thrash Collingwood by 11 goals.
How good is that?

With the rounds to come, you may well get in at the expense of Essendon or my horribly inconsistent mob.

GF preview today? Great game between the Lions and Swans, decided by just two points.

away games vs Adelaide (should win) and GWS (unsure), and a game vs Carlton will decide our fate. might need to win 2 of 3 to really seal our spot.

This year should see a historic GF: the first not to feature a team from a heartland Oz Rules state

They can't ever get their best team out there all at once, Walsh & Wietering are banged up, our defence is dodgy as. We're like Shane Lowry or Jon Rahm in the British Open I've just been watching: still playing OK but surrounded by others playing better.

Yes ....they should withdraw from the Finals and start concentrating on next year ...and probably relocate to South Melbourne

Nah. It was bloody funny, esp for those who argue for Norf’s demise.
One of his last posts, I believe.

Re: AFL 2024
Essendon perilously placed after yesterday’s loss to GWS; very unlikely to make finals now, (let alone win one, to exhume a popular trope).
Cats still alive but need to win at least two of the remaining 4 rounds to make it.
The Dogs and Hawks are both pressing hard to get into finals, with ‘easy-ish’ runs to the end, and one other side will have to make way for them to both to get into the final 8 - just hoping it’s not my mob!

Re: AFL 2024
They lost to St Kilda as well - not often a team is so crap it loses twice in the same week! (However, well done GWS on beating both Essendon and Melbourne!)
Carlton needed Friday like a hole in the head, and it was especially galling after the load of sanctimonious bollocks the Harry McKay the Kane clown clogged the Age with. Meanwhile the Pies head honcho chose the week before playing the bottom team to get noisy and bombastic....sorry Jonesy, but Eddie would have done it before playing Sydney, it's only significance is it spills how worried you are

Re: AFL 2024
Looks like another year will go by when the Bombres don't win a final.
Despite all the noise about the non-Victorian clubs being disadvantaged, just take a look at the ladder to disprove this theory. Some of those clubs are in the eight basically every year. There are too many clubs, hence too many average one. There is a desperate need to cull some.

Re: AFL 2024
Melbourne and the Suns both lose, to the Dogs and the Eagles respectively. That’s the season gone for both. Collingwood likely to be in n a similar position after the weekend, and Essendon look done, suddenly leaving just 9 left fighting for 8 spots. Hawks, Giants, Cats and Port … one of these sides will miss finals.

Re: AFL 2024
Cats barely scrape in over Adelaide; so the scenario still appears to be 9 into 8 won’t go. Any slip up by one of the four vulnerable teams mentioned leaves that team on the precipice.

Re: AFL 2024
It doesn't seem long ago that everyone had the Swans pencilled in as near certainties for the flag but the wheels have fallen off. Eight minutes into the 2nd Quarter Port Adelaide are leading them 70 - 0.
